Skill training centres of EAT has a competitive team with excellence in implementing large scale skill development programs. This skill training focuses on people with minimum educational qualification (class VII and above) with no skills and employability. They are trained for 3-4 months, in the trade, based on their aptitude and would be preparedfor entry level jobs. Here, the focus is on subjectspecific content delivery, practical sessions, onthe job training and development of soft skills.It would also include linking them to employers for apprenticeship or on the job training.
The programme is highly sensitive to market demand and takes up only those employable trades which have demand in the local market. The training curriculum is also designed in consultation with the local business establishments and enterprises. This not only ensures a match between the market or industry expectations and the skills of the trainee but alsohelps in getting them entry
Candidates are trained on main domain skills and also on basic computers, spoken English, soft skills
The programme focused on Computer,Soft Skill,Communication And Specialized Sewing Machine Operators. Under the programme EAT Ongoing 60 Candidates. The programme covered the Thanjavur districts.
EAT is implementing a project on skill training of unemployed youth in the districts of Sivagangai, Madurai, Erode and Namakkal. EAT has trained 577 candidates and placed 464 candidates under the project.
The programme focused on computer, soft skills and communication skills. Under the programme EAT trained 20 youth and placed 20 candidates. The programme covered the Thanjavur districts.
EAT did a programme on entrepreneurship programme for women in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu. The programmewas supported by Women Development Corporation of Tamil Nadu and created entrepreneurs among the SHGs. 25 women were trained and supported in starting an enterprise.
EAT provided training to youth on trades such as electrical, automobile, ITES, retail and beautician in collaboration with HPCL and Confederation of Indian Industries. So far 100 candidates have been trained and placed. The placement rate is around 80%
EAT is implementing a project on skill training of unemployed youth in the districts of Thanjavur and Pudukkottai. EAT has trained 160 candidates and placed 143 candidates under the project.
